Membership Processes
Official party membership is registered through IPPMS — the Integrated Political Parties Management System owned by the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP).
Online via IPPMS
Register through ippms.or.ke or the eCitizen portal using your National ID. Free of charge (only standard data costs apply).

Dial *509# on any mobile network to register or check your status without internet access. Standard carrier fee of 1 KES applies.
County Office
Visit any of CIPA's 27 county liaison offices for in-person assistance with digital registration and civic education.

In accordance with Section 34(d) of the Political Parties Act (2011), political party membership registers are available for public review.
Check Your CIPA Record
Enter your National ID number. For your privacy, we'll email a verification code to your registered address before showing any details.
Mobile USSD
Dial *509# on any major mobile network to instantly verify your political party affiliation. A standard carrier access fee of 1 KES applies.
Online Portal
Individual membership data is accessible through the official Political Parties Management Information System (PPMIS) managed by the ORPP, and through eCitizen.
Guide to Membership Registration
Follow these eight steps to register as an official CIPA member through the digital portal.
Access the CIPA Portal
Visit the official CIPA website and click on the "Join CIPA" button. The platform is accessible via smartphone, tablet, or computer.
Enter Your Personal Details
Fill in the following mandatory fields exactly as they appear on your National ID or Passport: Full Name, ID Number, Sex, Mobile Number/Email (either).
Provide Your Electoral Mapping
Select your County, Constituency, and Ward from the drop-down menus to assign your membership to the correct administrative unit.
Select Special Interest Group (Optional)
If applicable, indicate if you belong to a Special Interest Group (Youth, Woman, or Person with Disability) to help the party meet its constitutional inclusivity quotas.
Review Data Privacy and Provide Consent
Read the Privacy & Consent section and check the mandatory box confirming your information is accurate, you are joining voluntarily, and you authorize CIPA to share your details with the ORPP.
Submit for Validation
Click the "I Consent and Register" button. The system performs a real-time, encrypted check against the national database to verify your eligibility. No initial fee is required.
Receive Confirmation
Once validated, you will receive an automated SMS/email confirmation. Your name is now officially recorded in the CIPA Membership Register.
Manage Subsequent Subscriptions
To maintain Active Member status, monthly subscriptions (Ordinary, Silver, Gold, or Platinum) commence 30 days after initial registration and are payable via the Uwazi mobile money portal.

Member Login
Your ID number and password are emailed to you once your membership account is created.
Log In to My Account →Resigning deactivates your CIPA profile in our system. To complete your official party resignation, you must also resign separately on the ORPP IPPMS system at ippms.orpp.or.ke or by dialling *509#.
